Rosendorff source diamonds from all over the world including Hong Kong, New York, Tel Aviv and Moscow. With new owners, Rosendorff customers benefit from international supply relationships and buying power. We also guarantee all diamonds to be issue and conflict free as well as ethically sourced.
Most Rosendorff diamonds weighing 0.50ct and above are laser inscribed with a unique identification number and come with a formal certificate. Certification is an expert opinion based on International Standards. Clearly, though, a Rosendorff diamond needs to be viewed to be truly appreciated and all diamond rings purchased will be supplied with a certificate of valuation.
Rosendorff Diamonds provide complimentary valuations on request for all purchases with a retail value of $5000 or more. Rosendorff will willingly provide valuation, for items purchased for under the $5000 threshold for a modest administrative processing fee.
This is a personal preference. 18 carat White gold is an alloy containing 75% pure gold and 25% other alloys. It is hard wearing and is coated in a fine layer of Rhodium which gives white gold its brilliance and whiteness; however, it does need regular maintenance with the rhodium requiring replacing every 12 to 18 months depending on how the ring is worn. Platinum as used in jewellery is a 95% pure metal. It is dense, hard wearing and does not require rhodium plating. It is however, a more expensive metal. We would be delighted to discuss your personal needs when making your purchase.
The significance of colour over clarity is one of personal preference. All Rosendorff rings contain diamonds cut to Rosendorff specifications so you can be assured that whichever diamond you choose, it will always be bright and beautiful.

Caring for pearl jewellery is particularly important given the delicate nature of the gem. Contact with chemicals, cosmetics and chlorinated water should be avoided, however your pearl jewellery can still be worn and enjoyed everyday. Due to the porous nature of pearls, avoid submerging your pearls in water as this can dissolve the cement holding your pearl securely in place on its post. When not in wear, store on their own in a soft pouch out of direct sunlight.
A Freshwater pearl is cultured in a mussel in a lake. A traditional saltwater (Akoya) pearl is cultured in an oyster in the sea. Generally, the freshwater cultured pearls are less expensive than the Akoya pearl. South Sea Pearls are also grown in the sea but are usually a larger size than the Akoya and this is reflected in a higher price point.
Yes, we offer one complimentary resizing of the ring within the first 12 months of purchase.
18 carat white gold is made up of 75% gold and 25% other metal, usually silver or palladium. It is common practice to coat the gold in a fine layer of rhodium which is a metal very similar to Platinum. It enhances the whiteness of white gold. It is hard wearing but will eventually wear off. It needs replacing every 12 to 18 months depending on how the jewellery is worn, to keep the white gold looking its best.
Even a diamond, which is the hardest gemstone known to man, can chip if hit on the right angle. They are most vulnerable around the girdle, however, due to the way in the which the diamond crystal grows, they sometimes have cleavage lines which are susceptible to impact. Daily wear of your jewellery can wear down clasps and settings which can unfortunately result in stones becoming loose or falling out. Some types of settings are more susceptible to this happening including pave settings where the beauty in the design is the small amount of metal holding onto the stone itself. Occasionally, impact to the ring can weaken the setting and this can result in the stone falling out at a later stage. Rosendorff is more than happy to examine your piece and will replace the stone you have lost or reset any stones that have become loose. A fee will apply and will be discussed with an After Sales Service Specialist on inspection of the piece.
General repairs take a minimum of two weeks however our time frame will depend on the season. Some repair work may take a little longer depending on what is required and the current capacity of our workshop. If necessary, we will advise you of any changes on time-frames once the piece has been assessed by the Rosendorff jewellery workshop.
Our workshop mostly runs at full capacity and it is sometimes difficult to provide that service for non-Rosendorff jewellery however, we can review your piece and determine if we are able to assist or alternatively recommend someone who can help with your needs.
Pre-ordered items will take a maximum of 6 weeks but usually 21 days.
